Today's find is a double profile 1990 Washington Quarter

    I think you'll get more replies if you post this on the ERRORS forum. I'm really not into error coins so don't want to take a wild guess.

    "Doubling" that is flat and shelf-like is either Machine Doubling (MD) or is caused by excessive die wear (the edges of the design deteriorating with age and use). Looks interesting, but no added value.

    I was thinking machine doubling myself. Didn't consider die wear. Still learning! Thanks!
