    This is what is required -

    FBL = Full Bell Lines
    NGC - both the upper & lower sets of bell lines must be clear, distinct and unbroken except at the crack
    PCGS - the lower set of bell lines must be clear, distinct and unbroken except at the crack

    From the PCGS Glossary:
    Full Bell Lines Term applied to Franklin half dollars when the lower sets of bell lines are complete (FBL). Very slight disturbance of several lines is acceptable.

    If you are already a member of PCGS then it will be $30 or more, but if not you will have to pay the $200 fee to join the club first. The other option is to have a PCGS dealer submit it for you, which isn't particularly cheap either.

    That's not entirely accurate... You can pay $50 for the "silver" membership, but if you pay the $200 for the "platinum" membership, you get 8 "free" gradings so it kind of balances out.

    The cost to get a coin graded depends on the coin, but it can be as low as $15 (shipping charges not included). It's all on the PCGS website if you wanted to check it out.
