Great response from my last post, thought I'd keep sharing the loot. It was a great day. 2 Indians 1 wheat 1 memorial 1 93p nickel 1 super toasty 1937 buffalo 1 Italian coin with a naked man on it 1 urraca coin..first I've ever seen tbh 1 ATC super automatic lighter 1 copper pendant or buckle thingy 1 Jack 1 dog collar hook Aaaaaaand.. a cast iron hoof cleaner from Taiwan...I put it in a rock tumbler to clean it up a bit
Cool haul. The coin that says Urraca is from Panama. That's a long way from home, as is the nekkid guy Italian coin.
the image of the naked dude makes me uncomfortable, what is he swinging that hammer at,haha.....oh u know, just doin some naked blacksmithing, nothing to see here
Im actually curious, why are all/most roman and italian statues/idols/depictions ect....always naked? or wearing a twig
This link attempts an answer to that query. Is it correct? I have no idea. I have noticed when I've traveled to South America and parts of Europe that people seem less "concerned" about their bodies. I've seen very old women wearing bikinis, fat, skinny, tall, short, people seem to have no shame in bearing parts of themselves. In the US is seems that only people who meet the "Cosmopolitan" standard are allowed to show anything, or at least not shamed for doing so. I have no idea if that had anything to do with the question above. I just kept on typing.
Lol,I see your logic, then again,u never see a fat naked depiction, they're always super ripped. Idk,I guess it's because alot of the characters were idolized and had to look the part. Your guess is as good as mine.
