    Hi everyone. I’m new to the coin world and need some help. I came across a 1993 p dime today that has some type of mark on it. Any information anyone can provide would be great.

    @Stefanie Harris, welcome to CT.

    FYI, whenever you are asking about specific aspects of specific coins, you should always include pics of both the obverse & reverse of the coin - good habit to get into, plus it helps on most assessments.

    That said, your pics most likely show circulation damage. It's been around for 26 yrs - plenty of time to run into trouble. It looks like it took some kind of hit. Perhaps someone used it to level a table leg, or some such thing.

    The Phila. Mint produced over 766 million of these. Keep up the hunt! :happy:

    Welcome to CT. That circular mark is from a coin rolling machine and it is considered damaged. It happened after it left the Mint.
