As I mentioned in a previous post, I only won one of my bids in the latest FSR auction. It was actually my second choice of coins and I got it much cheaper than I thought I would, so I'm very pleased. And, as always, the coin in hand is much better than the image that Frank used for his auction. It is not so rare, but it has a unique reverse (unique to me anyways).

I think I have the attribution correct, but, if someone wants to double check, I'd appreciate it.

Great pick up Bing, and much better pic than Frank's showing a lot more detail. Congrats.

Nice looking coin Bing! Has seen its share of commerce! Love the boat (OK, galley...sheesh!)

(Thinking to myself: between the galleys & elephants lately, I need to get my act in gear!)

That's a type I particularly like @Bing - I've seen a couple for sale for a bit more than I want to pay by fixed price, so glad that you were able to secure a victory in this case.

Thanks for all the nice reply's. And yes, I've seen this type before and the price was out of reach for me. Like I said, I got this for 2/3 of my high bid. I feel good, worn and all.

Saweeeet win Bing! (You and those galleys) I've never seen the type before. Wild patination (?) on the reverse:wideyed:
Here's a Alexandrian radiate Nero I won a couple weeks ago with his red headed ex Poppaea:

@Bing - so much better than the picture shown on the FSR auction!! I understand this is the norm.. but it is a bit of a crap shoot isn't it? Really glad it worked out so well.
I believe I have won 2 relatively inexpensive coins .. due to customs they may not reach me until next week.. hoping for a similar result!
