My weird shiny brown quarter.

    Meow thinks if it is super shiny, then it has been plated. A bit duller, then its natural toning. Quarters mostly turn a light gold color as they tone, especially when they are MS.

    Welcome to Coin Talk. IMO I think it's natural toning. If it was plated I think it would be a lot shinier. Be careful with the W..s We all know what it means, including the moderators.

    Does not look natural at all. Tons of state quarters were plated and marketed. There's no value. It's worth 25 cents.
