Ok everyone i have what is probably a stupid question but i'm going to ask it anyway. On the 2005 nickel that has the bison on the back. Where these only made in 2005 and then not made anymore? I have one and i what to hold on to it if there is not a likely hood that i will find another one. Thanks for any and all answers.

There were almost 450,000,000 struck in Philly, and over 485,000,000 struck in Denver.
You'll spend maybe a dollar each for raw MS-65 pieces.
If yours came out of circulation, spend it.
The reason you don't find them in circulation is that dealers/collectors snapped most of them up just in case.
With those mintage numbers I can safely predict they will not become expensive or rare in our lifetimes.

Just for comparison, there are only about 300,000,000 US citizens.

    Not a stupid question.
You didn't know, so you asked.
Stupid would have been NOT asking and remaining clueless.
    Smart is asking and learning.

    Keep them coming.
We're here to help if we can.

Yes, Just spend them as they will never be worth more then face for atleast a 100 years. lol As for your 1988 JFK half, Thats your call.I wouldnt keep it myself unless it was MS64 or higher. The Ike Dollar how ever I would keep even it is only xf. They were only made for a few years in the grand picture of coins not to mention the fact that they are the last full sized Dollar coins. Another note on the Ikes. They seem to be getting a lot of attention these days. I have been seeing them sell in high graded slabs from $10 to $300 bucks a pop, depending on grade ofcourse. That to me says they are sleeper waiting to wake up.
