    I am new to this forum ...nice to meet everyone.

    Can any one shed some light on this recent purchase. I was led to believe it's Afghan of origin

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I agree with your likely attribution. I think this is a 19th century Rupee issued under the Barakzai dynasty from Kabul
