1941 Lincoln with a slanted 1

    It is still post mint damage. There is no term post mint error. These coins have no additional value.

    No because it is damaged. The third party graders will not attribute it as an error nor variety.

    Did you read any of the responses that were given on this thread. Slated 1 or any other number means it took a hit!

    Seems like maybe a master die IMO with regards to all mints having the same exact strike [​IMG]

    It's just damaged. It wasn't created that way by the Mint o_O
    The answer was given throughout this thread.

    To be in a master die it would have had to have been in the master hub. And if it was in the master hub it would be on EVERY 1941 cent.

    Copper is very soft and easily moved. I have a 1947 that looks like a 194T. Very common occurrence on pre 1982 cents.
