I ran across this nickel about 2 or 3 months ago and noticed the die cracks and doubling. All of UNITED, including "S" in STATES, and E PLURIB in the motto are doubled. And also note the die crack from the rim to the tip of "U" in UNITED, through to past the end of STATES, and another from the left bottom leaf of the wreath to the bottom of "U" in UNITED. Is this known with any other 1883 N/C nickel? Note:ANACS graded MS-64 Colour changed to point out die crack
I think there may be doubling on the centre, lower left corn husk. Or maybe its a cud? Oh I don't know.
I can't see the doubling in that picture. The die cracks are common, esp for the first year of issue. The mint was still getting used to striking nickel coins, due to the hardness of the metal.
Die cracks are cool, but common. As it is I see what looks like machine doubling on the U in united. Also common back then - but I am not expert on liberty nickels. I only have one.
I like die cracks that are extensive as on your coin. But you'll have to give us a better image if you want an opinion about possible doubling.
I will not be able to post any pics, my camera is permanently broke and I have no money at the moment to get another one.
