Wanted to share a few notes my wife got when getting some spending money out of the bank for the upcoming coin show. The serial number on the third $20 surprised me when she told me what she had gotten.

Oh, well $80 less to spend.......for now.

please forgive my ignorance, but what's special about the second and fourth notes?

The second note is just an older $20 note.

The fourth note is a book-end - some define it as the first two digits and last 2 digits of the serial match.

    Interesting.
    I like the 6 1's
and personally, that's the only one I would keep.

i would keep the 6-1's AND the older $20 :) the other two are nothign worth throwing $20 into in order to keep IMHO.

I love the old style money. It's getting very expensive lately, but I've been hanging onto everything I find.

You can let others tell you what they think a note is worth to others, but don't ever let them tell you what you should keep or discard. That is completely up to you.

One of my favorite movie scenes is from Throw Mama From The Train where Danny Devito is showing Billy Crystal his coin collection. That scene tugs at the heart strings everytime I see it because I can relate to it.
