As flowers seem to have stalled, how about a shift to non-round coins or tokens? Gives me an excuse to post this one again:

 

One of my favorite non-round coins. Not as attractive as yours but I love this chunky piece of silver.

I'm going to be lazy. I made this graphic once when someone on a liteside forum (aka US) was defining 'money' or 'coins'. One of the characteristics uses was 'round'. I begged to differ and used this. Coins may be many things, and round is not required as we know.

I have a lot of non round "coins", mostly from India and there abouts. These range in date era from 272 BC to 1923.

 

This bean just arrived today. Not quite round.

 

I like it and have no idea what it is. Please tell more?

 

It's bullion coinage from Japan, a Mameita Gin. Seller dated it from a period of 1859-1865. The figure on it is the "God of Plenty". The era is determined by the characters on his belly. Never knew these existed until I saw one in another thread.
