Found this nickel in a roll today. By the looks of it, I am going to say it is a strike through object error. Probably a hair, or a piece of string or wire.

It is rare for me to find CWR halves, but one teller had $890 - all turned out to be skunks! $490 were from a collection as each roll was a dedicated date & mint mark and many were high AU. Problem is they either didn’t have any silver or, more likely, kept the silver separate. These were above my 6 boxes this week, so more to dump. :yack:
Two boxes searched so far, leading to a 1967, and 2 x 1974-D DDO. One pretty decent, the other banged up. Man, the silver is slow around here!

I just went through a box of quarters looking for W's. Found nothing and it took me a few hours. I had to look at every coin with a loop. I think I will stick to halves.

It’s understandable. A much more time-consuming process indeed! I keep checking too! Is the platinum investment paying off yet?

It's the same as I paid for. I'm going to hang onto it. Fun buy though.

Search my first box of halves today and found five forty percenters. I was excited because at least i found something, after reading a lot online about people saying they're not finding anything or that it was rare I was expecting not to find anything. But got to say I'm happy and I now have a standing order for one box every Thursday

Picked up 4 boxes of halves and 2 boxes of quarters today. The quarters were fun but the halves were garbage. Just 1x40%er in the last box. The last 8 boxes of halves have only given up 2x40%ers. I switched up my order for next week to 2x boxes of halves, 2x boxes of quarters and 2x boxes of cents.

Quarters gave up 3x American Memorial W's, a handful of War in the Pacific P's and 1 D, a Panama 25c, and then 2 fun ones: 2012S El Yunque Business Strike and a 2019S Lowell Business Strike.

Oh, and the 1961D dime was in my change from buying beer after work :)

    2 banks had $2.50 loose halves...nothing.

The teller at 1 bank claimed she’d gotten “silver dollars” yesterday, but a customer already asked her for them so they were gone. I am doubtful the coins were truly silver, but this bank is in a shady part of town, so maybe...

Teller's often call CuNi Ikes silver dollars. Would be cool to score some real silver dollars from a teller though.

Right?! How crazy is that? I can't find any Lowel "W"s but I can find a San Fran business strike. Insane.
