Roll hunting nickels. Not sure what I got ideas?

    Here is a 1964 nickel with no apparent finish on it. Next to another with a finish. Not sure what is going on with it. any helps is appreciated.

    The coin has environmental damage. It was exposed to the elements and was likely in the ground for a period of time.

    The darker coin is suffering from environmental damage, very common and worth a nickel.
