Can someone tell me if I should put these coins back in circulation. to start I think I see a tone edge/tone rim. On the 1973D And a very close D almost touching the date on the 1957D do you think there's dirt in the middle or should the D be close to the date.
In 1957 the mint mark was hand punched into the die. Therefore, the mint mark could be in different positions. If it was touching the date, I doubt the mint would use the die. Your coins are not valuable but would look decent in a Lincoln cent folder.
Try to keep your thread titles shorter. Ask all your questions on your first post like you did. For example.. This thread could of simply been called.. Mint Mark on Cent Questions.
I don't really care how long a title is but I never view this site on my phone. It's cool when a title tells you enough to know if you even want to look at it. Welcome to CT Newcoinguy77
Take it easy, Mr. P.! Larry is one of the good guys. Have a cup of coffee and save the rancor for someone who knows everything like *i2i*. Chris
