I found this quarter in banks rolls from bank. On the reverse in bell tower is two die chips in top openings to bell. On the right corner of bell tower is a die chip or crack changing the design of tower. Has anyone seen this error on 2019 P?
I have seen the one die chip in the left opening of tower, but in one opening not two and never on the corner of the tower building, which changes the design look. Do you have a link that shows these errors? Thanks!
Not every single die crack or die chipped coin is photographed or listed. Generally, it's because they are considered mint errors - errors, yes, but too numerous to list every single known die state. And yes, there are coins with two die chips on one side.
Avery...kinda early days for many links to exist for 2019 coins, your post is one of the first that I am aware of that shows these die chips...Spark
Trussell, it is that type of response that is very counter productive. Thanks anyway. If you're going to comment be constructive not destructive with the smart remarks. When you stop learning you are no good to anyone.
@Avery G. I found one and posted this thread about it the other day.Although the die chip on my quarter looks different then yours. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/lowell-p-quarter-die-chip.342598/#post-3605226
BTW.....I have also seen one with a tiny period size dot on the ledge (same place) which some seller was calling bird on the ledge and selling it as an error coin on eBay. I also have one of those. I have to wonder if it is the same die and the chip got progressively bigger as more coins were made.
Nice die chip! I keep all my die chips.maybe not huge but an error non the less and I collect error coins. Thanks for the link.@beardigger.
