Does anyone like the colored State Quarters? I have the first 6 that i can post for anyone to see just let me know.
I have a couple that were bought for me, but most collectors woudnt give them house room as they are seen as basicly disfigering the coin LOL now I am going to be contravesial here and say I like them
Go ahead a post them, I'll take a gander. I have some that were given to me. I keep them because they were done well and are neat to look at in color. Allen
I like colored coins if they're well-executed, not not enough to collect them myself. Please post pictures of yours.
Here they are everyone enjoy: On a side note does anyone know where i can find more of the holders like these are in for my other coins?
I happen not to like colored coins, I never did and I probably never will. I've always hated seeing colored ASEs at coin shows and elsewhere. I dont know, maybe I'm old fashioned but I'd rather see luster than paint.
They appear 'artfully' well done and I'm sure they have a niche for collectors. Remember they sell painted frying pans, wooden (treenware) spoons, and hand saws at antique shops all the time, LOL...
I would have those state quarters as like...an ornament. A coloured state quarter would sell well to tourists as a momento of states they have been too.
I like the color silver on state quarters but there is a market for the "colorized". Whatever floats your boat. clembo
There are airtites made for this purpose. I have several silver rounds with a Christmas theme that are in red ring airtites with a small opening at the top to put an ornament hook through so they can hang on the tree. I don't know if they come in quarter size.
I guess I always liked the looks of colorized coins but never picked one up until this one came along............
