A close family friend asked me to put together some year sets for his antique autos. He puts a newspaper from the year of each in the passenger seat. He wanted to put in coins that were used at the time too. Thanks to the help of some very generous folks (hope you don’t mind me thanking you publicly), I’ve gotten all but two coins, with another coming tomorrow. Here’s how they look! Thanks to @Randy Abercrombie , @Rheingold , @micbraun , @tibor The 1915 buffalo is a rotated die. The two temp/filler coins kind of stick out.

Can’t wait to see them with those beauties. I’ll be sure to have him take photos of them in the Autos the next show he does. I’ll post them here when I get them.

Great initiative! I think it’s good that those coins are all circulated. How about adding a number of stamps of the respective years?

Well, I stole the idea but created/customized this additional page for the back of my type set. All these moderns deserve their own type slot.

The coins look much better then the below pictures.

Yes, I’m still looking for a 1927 peace dollar that will match the set. I stuck a 1923 of my own in there for now.

I was hoping I could help you out , but I do not have a 27 dollar. I thought there were 2 coins missing for some reason. I must have mis-read the thread . That is normal .. hope you find one soon at a decent low price. Dillan

I read the post again I get it you have one of the 2 in transit and still needing only 1 coin the 27 dollar. I took it as you still needing 2 coins after getting the coin in delivery. Somedays things do not compute as well as I would like them too . Great collection you put together for your friend . It will be a nice addition to his other projects. Your a great friend for your kindness to your buddy !! Dillan
