1953 WHEAT penny

    I know wheat pennies aren't worth much but mine is minted with a L. I looked on google and yahoo but couldn't find what L stands for:computer: also the L is bigger than most mints marks and is above the date.:eek:because of which I dont even know if its a mint mark, I would post a pic. but it keeps coming out to fussy to look at:mad: If you have any advice on either of my problems please help, you'll be much appretiated:thumb:

    It sounds like damage or possibly a die crack or chip, but I have never seen one that resembles an L above the date. 99%er it's damage.

    hold a magnifying glass up to your camera lense to take the picture.. and it sounds like post mint damage.. maybe someone put their initial into it?
