I picked these up today and wondered what you folks might grade them. First a 1919-S Waliking Liberty http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0015-5.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0016-5.jpg Next a 1960 Franklin. Full min luster with a bit of toning at the top of the reverse. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0017-5.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0018-4.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0019-3.jpg Thanks, clembo
Clembo, I'd say that Walker is in F-12/15 condition according to the 'Bonedigger Standard' that is and the Franklin is an MS-62/63 FBL. Take Care Ben
I'd say F-12 on the walker. I'm not yet confident enough in my grading of franklins to take a shot at that one. hehe
Thanks fellers. I apperciate the input. The Walker I'd agree with VG10. Not quite a fine but better than a typical VG. The Franklin. MS61-2 and NO FBL. I'm asking for opinions as these are not my favorite coins to grade. Hell, not even my favorite coins. Price was right and they'll end up for sale clembo
Without looking, I'll say the Walker is a VG-F (have no idea how to grade these, just going by gut) and the Franklin I'll give a MS-63. Nice coins, that Walker is niiiiice! :thumb: Phoenix
Regarding "NO FBL"... As a new collector of Franklins I'm interested in what disqualifies this coin for FBL. My novice take would be the marks to the left of the bell crack intersect the bell lines and therefore break them. I'm sure I'm off base and would like to learn...
I would say Fine for the Walker, but even if its actually a VG it is still a nice coin. Love to have that one. The Franklin IMHO is could not make MS grade. There appear to be wear on the head. I would say AU at least. All nice coins!! Allen
