Nice coin with an interesting portrait.

What is the significance of the 12 dots on the reverse?

Who did you buy it from? I bought a couple of British hammered coins recently for my wife's birthday and am interested in buying more. Who are some good sellers?

That is a great Henry III penny @arnoldoe with an absolutely wonderful bust of the king. Class V has some of the best coins of his reign, but class 5f is my favorite. Congrats on such a nice coin. If you have never seen it, I would recommend the website Rob Page has devoted to the long cross coinage of Henry III: www.henry3.com

I haven't purchased many coins this year, though I did pick up this awesome penny of John from @Orfew

I think it was just for looks.

Off Ebay from a Canadian seller, who currently has nothing for sale.. but it was from a lot of coins sold by Spink in 2016, + It is my first medieval British hammered coin..

    Beautiful coin!

I don't believe the pellets have any significance.

@TheRed thank you for sharing that site, it looks like a great place to learn more about Henry's.

What a lovely wife you have.
As wonderful as my wife is, if I bought my wife coins for her birthday, I imagine that I would get 'cold shoulder' for dinner for some time to come. (Not worth the risk.)
