    It is always a shame to see a coin holed, but you have to remember these pennies were exceedingly common at the time, and still are now. In that worn condition I have a box load of similar coins - I can't quite bring myself to send them to the scrap man, but their value is little more than the copper content (at least in the UK). As a pendant it has a little life yet...

    I can perceive some sentimental value in you'r box of coins. In my humble opinion, it's more valuable than $.

    I agree - which is why I still have them! But sentimental value is now measured in 100s of kilos in weight. When I go to the great coin fair in the sky someone else will have to deal with them.

    Hey Bruce, maybe Paddy is right. There's always some one in the back round just thinking maybe if ... O well, just a thought.
