bicentennial quarters for example had 809 million at Philly 880 million in Denver for the years 75&76! they would have to be super pristine to be worth your while !
Janika, yes they are way cool...here's some advice and info on the quarter... As mentioned they struck these for 2 years, mucho mintage. One of the highest areas on the reverse of the coin, and therefore most susceptible to wear, is the front rim of the drum, including the ball spheres on the vertical ribs. If you find any of these with the design intact, aka very little wear evident, those would be candidates to keep. Keep in mind, too, you will search a while for coins with well defined obverse details. They have circulated now for about 43 years now. Many, many of these were saved by collectors, they may never be scarce or rare, except by condition. Last year I returned about 40 quarters back to the wild because they had too much wear at this high spot, rendering them face value, effectively. Some people save every one of these they find, because that's their thing. Hope you find this info useful...Spark
