1988 PAYDAY Nickel?

I always thought these were only Philadelphia Mint issues that were part of this marketing gimmick. (Hollywood Brands, who used to manufacture PAYDAY bars, put a nickel in 12.3 million candy bars in 1989.)

As you can see, mine is a 1988-D. Anyone know about this?
