Unusual red color which you will not find on a coin you pluck from circulation, but beyond that there is nothing remarkable. The coin has spots that prevent it from getting a grade beyound MS-64, if it is that good.

Cents don't circulate very much any more. They end up in hoards where coins like this can turn up. There are so many many of them that it's not special.

If the coin were 50 years older, it would be another story.

"Red" means that it looks like a brand new cent in Uncirculated condition. Once the coin starts to to turn brown, it is almost impossible to make it red again in a way that will fool an experienced coin grader. I am not saying it's impossible, but the number of failures way outweighs the successes by a wide margin. If it can be done at all, It's with chemicals, NOT physical cleaning.

I thought this was a keeper when I found it yesterday. I dont know what grade it is or where it traveled from but 44 years old is a minute to looked this good. Must have hung out at the gym! Lol
