When I searched halves religiously, this was the worst part of the year.

Went out to my "W" sweet spot today and picked up a box of quarters and cents.
    Quarters - Solid 2018P Voyager. D'oh!
    Cents - Solid 2019P. Double D'oh!

The manager is however, going to order me 4 boxes of halves and 2 boxes of quarters for probably next week.

Guess I'll have to ride it out another 6 months until I find Christmas silver!

Searched my last box of halves from this past week. It was successful because of a couple of one-offs:
    1966
    1987-D
2006-D Obverse Die Crack (point of neck to rim)
I typically find Kennedy Obverse Die Cracks from the 90’s decade with a few from 2000 - 2001. And nearly all with one or two exceptions are from Philly. This is the first “recent” one and it’s from Denver - odd!

I am also currently experiencing the doldrums of half boxes. For me May has typically been best for boxes. In the Christmas timeframe I focus on CWRs instead of boxes. My local boxes are typically very stinky.

I LOVE getting boxes of halves in other states because they are typically far more productive, which is why I am looking forward to my next out-of-state vacation in November!

You could try acetone but I don't know how well that'll work. I wouldn't mess with it if it were mine.

If you look, He is already a smidge rainbow-esque. I will fashion a small box with some baby blankets in it to keep an eye on him whilst He tones:) He's just been traveling by Himself in this world, so I have no doubt his beauty marks ~as we will now call them~ is what has colored Him more beautiful.
( I am realizing in this very moment that I am a nutbar!:hilarious:)

I was searching a roll of Nickels from my local bank and found a 1942 (Type I) Jefferson Nickel (Average Circulation) that weighs only 4.1 grams, I have been to numerous shops, shows, even sent it in to Beckett for grading and they sent it back w/o any explanation. The only thing they all agree on is it that its not tampered with, it is 100% authentic but nobody has a clue as to why the weight is so low....Nothing like finding something so cool and having no clue what it is, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY IDEAS YOU MAY HAVE!!!!!!

I see that you posted about this coin two years ago. Without good photos, we can only guess; my guess would be that it's been corroded or acid-etched, which removes metal from the coin.

Ad for why Beckett sent it back -- perhaps it's because it's not a sports card or comic? I'd never heard of Beckett, and some quick Googling doesn't show them having anything to do with coins.
