Ok photos/pics? What's the issue? R u not aloud to post them..is it not right by certain standards.. I'm not getting it..I apologize if I didn't do it properly or wasn't supposed 2. I was just curious? N thought this was the place to ask n get info from others.. maybe as a newbie this is the wrong site for me

You did great. If I had to figure out how to post images from my phone, I would never get it figured out. I need a monster size screen and a PC.

Franklins were never popular, even though they were big silver.
Back in their day, people did not carry them because of their size and weight. So, its not hard to find good examples.
However, they are obsolete coins. Not made anymore. Plus, large silver.
People covet that. Especially the ignorant. A numismstist would probably only pay melt. But most people, seeing a coin like that, would gladly pay more.
Halves are no longer silver and no longer circulate. Most people have never seen one. Some kid got arrested at school for a $2 bill!
Thats the level of ignorance.
Have a yard sale and watch them sell.

They look better than I was afraid they would Definitely not a jackpot but maybe a sweet start.

I like Franklins, obviously I guess, and I remember finding sealed proof sets from the 50s and 60s on ebay for @20$. I couldn't believe my eyes, went on a few good binges and realized that uncirculated Franklins were incredibly easy to get, but special coins were usually already picked. Saddened me a tad. But I still love having them around.

Wow on the arrest of a child. Everyone has some stupidity in them but some folks take it 2 far ..completely different topic..but I like this group...lol ...why the big craze over 83 quarters..I've been reading bout it...but still somewhat curious?

 

No Uncirculated Mint sets were sold by the US Mint in 1982 or 1983. A lot of collectors who want to fill their albums usually get the coins from these sets. It's a bit harder to find truly uncirculated coins that were released for circulation. Probably not many saved rolls of coins from those two years as production was very high. Now, trying to find an uncirculated 1982 or 1983 coin is very difficult, so anybody wanting to get them have no choice but to buy them on eBay or a LCS. Those that have the uncirculated coins are aware of this so they charge higher premiums than coins from other years. For some reason 1983 quarters in BU condition are difficult to find. It does..ty...I pretty much got that from all the news articles n u tube...I just figured I was missing a key factor...something that would explain the craziness behind it all..lol...wish me luck....I have about 70, 1983 quarters...and about 50, 1982 quarters to look thru now...all I need is 1 good one...I'm not greedy lol....good luck to others n thank u for being so kind and answering my stupid question....

 

Hope you find a few that can get a very high grade. AU-58 or better. Many of those YouTube videos on coins have to be taken with a grain of salt. A lot of misinformation on them. Especially those saying how to get rich from your pocket change or similar titles. The person that posted the video is the one making money. They get paid by the number of people clicking who view it. A great example is the one where the poster tells you to check your nickels for the 1913 Liberty Head nickel. Only five were made and all are accounted for.

You have either a Misaligned Die Strike or an off-center strike. Can't tell which without seeing the reverse. In either case it's a common error and doesn't add a premium to the coin. this should help although the off-center strike is extreme.

That was alot of help thank u..its misaligned. The reverse is correct..maybe somebody will offer 10 grand like they did the 1982 penny few months ago..lol..not likely to happen.but wishful thinking..
