I started reading about these more this weekend and looking at mintages witch seem to be very low, just wonder if anyone else collects them, I just bought a couple. but im interested in them as I seen the us mint has one coming out soon. The enhanced uncirculated sacs are really low pop.
This is the only one I have, but yes, they are quite collectible. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-Ameri...Enhanced-Uncirculated-Sacagawea-/331678473655
Yes. Pay no attention to it. It's a random act by the mint. They feed these coins into the press with no particular orientation. Proof coins are different. They always have the same orientation.
Ooooh, Meow like these! Meow has a few, but has not ever heard of a variety before. Hopefully someone here has some information on it.
Have never heard of of any 'varieties' regarding these sets Danial, but if there are, others will chime in......
So what do you know about the upcoming set? Not sure Meow can afford extras right now, but would certainly buy one no matter the subject.
After some thought, Meow thinks it has to do with which direction the edge letting faces. Readable in obverse or reverse. Its just a Cats wild guess.
This is coming up for sale $15.95 seems like a fair price Jul 24 2019 Native American $1 Coin & Currency Set 2019 $1 Series 2017 note features a serial number beginning with “1959” to correspond to the launch year of the Agena spacecraft shown on the coin 2019 Native American $1 Coin reverse design highlights the contributions of Native Americans to the U.S. Space Program The perfect memento to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first manned Moon landing in 1969
I may be in for one, if I can remember to order it on the day of issue. Meow has such a time remembering things.......
Im going to get a couple. the numbers will be consecutive from past experience with birthday notes ect. going to try to order early possibly get lower numbered notes. Ok I got some information I requested from the seller. POSITION A - Edge lettering reads upside-down when the Sacagawea 's portrait faces up POSITION B - Edge lettering reads normally when the Sacagawea 's portrait faces up Just good information to me, even though it adds no value. I did know that was random, except for proofs, did not know on enhanced uncirculated. did not know a and b.
$15.95 my not seem like much, but you are only getting $2 of actual value. The rest is fancy packaging. But that wont stop Meow from getting one.
Never thought I'd say this, but I'm agreeing with the cat. $15.95 seems like a pretty steep premium for $2. Can't imagine one could resell these for anything close to the original purchase price.
When the Presidential Dollars first came out, certain parties (TPGs) tried to make a big deal out of the edge lettering as it relates to the obverse of the coin. It was just another marketing gimmick to make one seem more valuable than the other. It never took off as most collectors were aware of the fact that as @green18 pointed out, the edge lettering was random on business strikes.
Go to the bank with 2$ and ask for an enhanced uncirculated coin. Ok, now you see the difference. its a cool set, I like them. they are selling much higher than the purchase price, I missed one tonight, went over my budget for today. Also look in your redbook at the mintages of these, coins. pretty low.
They had a new coin American innovation but it was released late in the year I think may be why but I don't know. they are still available, but I don't know about enhanced, don't see anything on that.
