Some Super examples throughout this thread! I like the design. I own two, one in my Type Set and one that my Mom gave me that's in my 7070.
This is how the I envision the first page of my Peace Dollar set will look after my new 22-D arrives. Looks like I need to keep an eye out for a couple of 1923
Just got them today. $25 each from a dealer at a flea market. Subjective grading. I bought Morgans also. Will be busy checking for VAM varieties.
On a computer, if you right click on either picture and click on open in new tab. Then in the new tab click on the picture to enlarge. You will notice there are little or no abrasions on most of the coins. There is very little toning on the coins. The 1926 has very little toning and great cartwheel luster in hand, not the strongest strike but the cleanest mark and abrasion free surfaces including nothing on Ms Liberty's cheek. I couldn't pass them up.
Can anyone following this tell me if they’ve ever seen an error like this on a peace dollar? I’m struggling to find any information online. It’s a 1922. It has doubling all over the place, but that extra spike going in the opposite direction is really peaking my curiousity about it’s value.
That is a nice one. Try looking here. There are a ton in 22. Good luck. http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com/wiki/1922-P_VAMs
