Hi! I'm new to the coin world so I'm just starting my research since being left coins after the passing of a relative. In order to hit many birds with one stone I'm trying to find out what I can about Buffalo Nickles. The book contains every nickel from the 1913 V-1 to the 1938-D and they all look to be in great condition. (The book is full). Is this something that one should hold onto?, or sell? Or are they even worth enough to think about. Any advice or direction is appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
You have come here to a coin collecting community. Most of us would probably say keep them. If the coins were passed down to you from a family member, that person probably wanted the collection to stay in the family for posterity. I would say buy yourself a Red Book, learn about what you have or post pictures here for opinions. Good luck!
Let’s see what you got. Take pictures of each page, fronts and backs, in order, so we can match up the heads and with the tails sides of the coins. Whether you sell or keep it is your business. We will help you out with the business of figuring out what it’s worth.
Hi Diana and welcome to CT. I hope your don't mind but I'll post your images at full size. Nice well matched set. I'll look at the images more but others here will probably help you first.
thats a nice set, some of those coins are worth a few bucks, (if the dates are correct for the holes they are in), research them well... https://www.pcgs.com/prices/detail/buffalo-nickel/83/grades-1-20
