I was lucky enough to win this in an auction last week and he just showed up in the mail today. I don't have many coins with animals on them so I was happy to add him to the zoo. I am not 100% sure on the identification since I am not real good with provincials yet and I wasn't able to make an exact match on wildwinds. I believe it to be this based off of a vcoins search: Ionia, Ephesos Septimius Severus AD 193-211AE Obverse: AV KLCEΠ - CEVHPOC, draped, laureate bust right Reverse: EΦEC-I/ΩN, boar running right If I am wrong, please correct me. If I'm right...yay! Either way, let's see some of your animals.

Neat provincial, FF. The boar probably refers to the mythological founding of Ephesos by Androklos, an exiled Athenian prince who was told he would be led to the site of his new city by a wild boar. Now, let's go on a boar hunt! GALLIENUS AE28. 8.09g, 27.6mm. IONIA, Ephesus, circa AD 253-268. Karwiese 1136 (this coin cited). Lion and scorpion Lion Lion Owl at Minerva's feet Eagle eagle Eagle Snake Cow and baby calf I could go on....but OP didn't ask me to post all my animals, just some animals. So this is a good place as any to stop
That is quite the menagerie you have there @Sallent ! I really like the Octopus. I've not seen one like that before. Thanks for sharing!
Here's an old thread you may enjoy. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ancient-coin-animals-by-alphabet.267837/ Post #407 in that thread (p. 21) has a summary of all animals shown, although the thread goes on for many pages afterwards.
Thanks @TIF. I am 3 pages in already and drooling haha. I remember seeing some of stevex6's coins in the past before I was into ancients. Now I am seeing them in a new light and wow...they are some great looking pieces. You also have some really nice coins! Thanks again for sharing!
