  1. So, ok... here’s another design that is on all 3 1959 Lincoln Memorial Cents with the proof UNITED and remaining removed S. A smooth “polished” bottom incuse pit in the middle surrounded by an outline. BAFAB64B-D472-4FE9-8271-0F20BAEF4285.jpeg BBD45FD6-E2BB-4A21-BD3A-A9F630F53C3B.jpeg

He was a well known error expert, now deceased who authenticated a Rockwell Test Mark which I pointed out in my paper could not be such and Mike Diamond later also indicated the same in a Coin World Article. My point was that the test mark studied by John Devine was too large for a a Rockwell 15-T mark. Rockwell test mark column.jpg

The poster of this thread is again exercising an imagination which goes beyond all limits of reasonableness and scholarship.

  5. Right..... that’s funny. Like a territorial favoritism thing.... but I also didn’t want to say something against him...knowing the amount of time he was a collaborative acknowledgment.

This guy reminds me of that poster from like 6mos ago who would post gibberish and had his face as his avatar. I wish I could remember his name.

    Same M.O.

I finally had to resort to placing the OP on "Ignore" since the mods won't do anything about him. They don't care if the OP "plants" misleading information for the newbies to the hobby to see. Even if people like you and @paddyman98 refute their statements, there will still be those who are gullible enough to believe him. He'll just keep posting his garbage just like *i2i* posts all of his "undoubled" doubled dies.

I agree with you Chris. I also have to agree with Doug's post in the other thread. We fuel these guys with our post and that's what they wont. It's hard for me to ignore but that's about all we can do to get them to go away.

Reminds me of that guy Robert S. Lahti that used to post here only with better photography skills. He would also ramble on about nonsense like he was actually knowledgeable on the subject. This guy's choice of crappy coins, off the wall imagination, and use of arrows kind of remind me of that Young Mag guy as well. Trolls these days are evolving at a highly alarming rate.

In all seriousness though I don't post very often but am on here everyday trying to learn and this is getting ridiculous. Not sure if the Lahti guy is who you were thinking of or not. The only reason I remember him is because one day I actually posted a real doubled die (though it was a minor one) and got zero replies because my thread was buried by all the insane crap that guy posted. I had to hit up the good folks at CCF because of it.

Lahti, that’s the guy. Thank you, it was bothering me.

Very similar rantings and use of word combos that don’t mean anything.
