The mint has now backordered this set three times on me. I ordered one set the first day it was put on sale at the mint. Are they that far behind in coin production? Is it all the new collectors in the market that are flooding the mint with orders? Why would they advertise the set as "IN STOCK" if they don't have enough coins printed? Thanks, JIm
I bet they will e-mail soon and tell you that they can't send them to you because its now 2005 I would start to look on the web for one if I were you--I already found some and might buy them as they look neat-- Speedy
Speedy, Looks can be deceiving. I was dissappointed with the quality of the sets I received. The "medal" looked so bad that I looked for a seam on the edge thinking I could pull it apart and eat the chocolate inside. Honestly, it appeared that they must have assembled these sets in the dark, not caring which direction the coins appeared in the holders, evident of a rush job. I think that the Mint could have done a little better with this one.
Alright...thanks for the tip...I think the mint could do better on a lot of things...like prices...why pay so much more for our own money in a paper envelope? I don't know if I will buy any of the sets or not but what would you say is a fair price for one? Thanks Speedy
