Hi all, Happy 4th of July! Today was the famous Hot Dog eating contest at Coney Island hosted by Nathan's. I was there early enough to see the set-up. A few hours later there were thousands of people. I left before the contest since I already had 6 hours on the beach.
My finds for today - Totals US Coins & Miscellaneous 25C - 38 each 10C - 30 each 5C - 7 each 1C - 57 each 1C - Canadian 1 each 4 - Toy Cars 3 - Rings Misc Metal
Red is GT something - Hot Wheels White is Porsche Cayman - Matchbox Blue is Escort Rally - Hot Wheels Buggy is Mattel
Yeah, I used to collect such cars, but only the ones that were based on real cars, not the really wild customs. The white Cayman is cool. Of course, that's a real car. The red one looks like a real car, but I can't be sure. Can you do a pic of the bottom and/or the side view? When I was collecting I never played with them, but I showed them to people. I had some really rare ones at one time. I no longer collect them but I still think they're interesting. The first real car I ever owned/bought was a 1967 Pontiac GTO. I still have some of those Hot Wheels, but not the real car anymore. Selling that car is one of the biggest regrets of my life. Oh Well.
WOW. I doubt if I could eat three. In Houston, we have James' Coney Island. They're delicious, but two is my limit.
Looks like you had a great time! Love the picture of the beach. I have never stepped foot on American soil but if I did I would probably come down and visit you guys in NY!! Great finds! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!!
