I was going through my change tonight and found this. (Almost dropped the rest of the coins I had in my hands!) I IMG_20190704_032511.jpg IMG_20190704_032325.jpg read that there are only about 2 million minted so they are considered "rare". Is this a coin I should definitely send in to be graded? Or should I try to sell it or simply hold on to it? What would you do? Thanks.

Just hold on to it. Not worth paying to get it graded.
Even though 2 million is a low mintage, it is hardly "rare".

I'd consider myself lucky if I could find the remaining Lowell I need instead of a ton of American Memorials haha. I think I have something like 0.002% of all the American Memorial W's minted so far.

I haven't found A W one yet. My brother has though, but he lives on the other end of town.

According to the Sheldon rarity scale, “rare” means there are like 31-75 examples known (R5). A mintage of 2M means it’s a highly common coin :) I understand you got this from change, and this is great, but it’s far from being rare.

I have to say, upon reflection, the mint has been successful in one thing - zero comments on the quality of the design...
