I was at the DMV and they said "why not a vanity plate?". And I thought, hmmm, what clever thing could I put on a vanity plate? Well, I'm a card-carrying coin geek now fer sure!
How many people who see your car will think about ancient coins? "I bet he has mint state Ostia sestertius" will go through nobody's mind
...truer words..haha... one o me favorite movies..i'm gonna have to watch it again now this weekend..i was thinking about it anyway and this is a sign
Ha! Most people would think "what a dork!" and maybe some (older guys) will think "Hmmm... I bet he's into Morgan Dollars!" :- D Rasiel
If you fully read OP's plate, it says Washington coins. So if I saw that plate on the road I'd probably think he collects Washington quarters, but definitely ancients would be far from my mind given how small a club we are. Speaking of novelty plates, here is one for you baseball dorks: As a Marlins fan, this is probably the greatest and most accurate assessment of the team I ever saw... For the Spanish challenged, add the letter M from the Marlins logo to the rest and use Google translate.
And, when your car window has been smashed for the third or fourth time, what do you think your insurance company will do? Chris
Years ago I saw an interview with a rather old man whose sole job was to review Maryland vanity plate requests and refuse those with IERDA level meanings. He was a sharp guy well versed in the tricks.
