    I'm not well-versed on IHC's, but we have a lot of people here who can help you. Why don't you start a new post in "What's it Worth" and ask if it would be worth submitting it for grading. You might ask for a GTG (Guess the Grade) in the title and post your photos there, too.

    Nice. Obverse and reverse die clash are easily visible. Great find.

    There is no doubt a clash in front of the fore head.

    I would have to agree with the others that speculate it was a coin set free during the Great American Coin Hunt. It is just too nice to have been in circulation.

    You beat me to it....and were spot on with the attribution.
    I didn't see this thread until this morning.
    So I cannot take the credit for finding it as Mernskeeter was spot on with her eagel eye yesterday morning.

    If this was cut loose durring the great American coin hunt the person who did so was toltally unaware of the value of this coin....as far are rarity goes.
    Great find!

    @Mernskeeter
    Is another one to watch....:shifty:.....as she has been lurking in the wings and she's got her learning hat on!:jawdrop::bookworm:
    She was first to make the call on the coin... I believe she said a #3 but was going in the correct direction.

    Something like this is a double edge sword.....as it comes down to what someone would be willing to pay.
    I collect half dimes... so any variety of the rarevtype would tweak my interest.I do collect IHC but would rathervfind my own ....in lieu of buying one.
    I just love the hunt....but it value is either a market price or what someone willing to pay.
    Like anything of value the more information on the subject the better you are.
    With 5 to 6 specimens known and xf the best condition $250/500.

    I was thinking one of the coins 'released' by coin dealers back in April. I would expect to see quite a few finds like this in the coming months.
