Don't feel to bad. The late heavy rains/hail and spring snows stunted mine. The tomatoes are doing good but the peppers are just starting to get going. The corn is about a foot and a half tall.
I have to collect moderns or I'm not a collector? I didn't say you shouldn't collect moderns. If you like moderns that's fine, more power to you. I just was making the point that with all the "special" items the mint is putting out that it makes me glad I don't collect them. And it IS possible to collect modern coins without shelling out for every special issue the mint puts out to separate collectors from their money. If you want to collect them, and you have the finances to do so then do it. Just make it your choice of what you want to collect and don't be drug along by what others think you should.
Not necessarily. Think about the US Mint, they have had popular items that have sold out 50,000 in under 4 minutes without preorders.
