Am I looking at two cents or...

I've been interested in finding a reason to stop tossing pennies to the... Well, anywhere but in my pocket. So lately I've been looking more closely at them instead of just old silver. I found some chatter about the 1982 D Lincoln memorial penny recently and took interest as that's the year that I was hatched (though technically I suppose the egg cracked in 81, but I crawled out in 82 :p )
So I have these two and I think one of them might just about be a wonderful find, but more likely a couple of near misses. Can anybody clarify this conundrum for me?

    Thanks IMG_20190702_221343522~2.jpg IMG_20190702_223232216~2.jpg IMG_20190702_223254025~2.jpg IMG_20190702_221122109~2.jpg

Large date copper is 3.1 g and small date zinc is 2.5. You want the small date copper (so does everyone else though). Keep looking!

    That's what I was thinking.
Any idea what that phantom limb under the small date zinc's 9 is about?
And did they change the font set with the minting change from small to large date? The reverse usoa heading looks different to my eye and I'm pretty sure the copper LD is a wide AM?

Looks like a copper plating "blister" on the zinc one. Yes the date is different especially noticible on the 2. Wide AM is the norm.

Yeah that penny is in rough shape and the images appear MUCH larger on the form than they did on my phone so now I'm really picking them apart

I got my 7 at the swap meet for 2 bucks. It yielded this beauty: a copper large date "Woody". It is a slightly mis-align die (MAD) strike (wider rim at the bottom than at the top on the obverse). Nice to see you have a spot waiting on the 82-D small. copper :)

Yes I have seen these sets since I picked this one up and they all have that same spot empty. I didn't even need to weigh the small date D zinc as you could see the plating blisters...;)

I found a 1972 no mint penny is it worth anything

No, but when you post, take pictures, and start your own thread for best results, its considered disrespectful, to hijack another thread. 72 without mintmark means it was produced in philly, but condition and pictures are the only way to determine if you have something worth more examination.
