I collect antique glassware, Art glass and Alexandrite glass. I also collect Gemstones. Here is some of my alexandrite glass. It changes color in different lighting.
The pictures are the same piece of glass.

I enjoy collecting rocks and minerals. Here is a malachite that I find beautiful and it has a calming effect on me when I look at it ....

Apart from my private (mini) museum, collecting cars is my 'other' hobby.
    Some of them . . .

Not a big fan of that hobby, probably because I live in Florida where people drive like maniacs. I've seen more motorcyclists scraped from the floor by paramedics than I care to remember.

Neighbor has one right across from me, being in a mobile home park, it’s really close to me.

He’s obnoxious with it and always revs it, even at 3am in the morning. Pipes are messed with to give even a larger sound.

He’s a drug dealer anyways and many of us actually with he’d meet his demise on it.

Heck, even the 12 cop cars came with guns drawn & battering ram, somehow he knew and got away.

    Very recent.

    Gotta love L.A.

On Saturday I did not run but just walk - except that was a 50 km walk. ;) Along a river, in the forest, around a lake, and so on. Quite a big thing, with about 2,000 participants. One sign, at the 48 km mark, I found amusing. Said something like "turning around would be kind of dumb now" ...

There are plenty who give the hobby a bad impression. There is some guy in my neighborhood who has a modified Mustang, goes tearing through at high speeds, very loud, and often in the middle of the night. So, I sympathize. But the model bike I got is a smaller displacement engine and is very quiet (so quiet that they sell modified exhaust for them to make them louder!).

During my early 20s I had a 750cc Norton Atlas motorcycle. Above 90mph it would vibrate and shake so much I couldn't read the tach or the speedometer. Nuts, bolts and would start falling off above a 100mph. One night, above 110mph+, I'm trying to keep it in a straight line watching for stuff vibrating loose when the right side cylinder head gasket blew, fire started shooting out of the blown head gasket.
Was reluctant to remove my (R) leg from the path of the fire because of instability and the vibrations. After that event and baking drive chains in the oven w/ lubricate my girlfriend told me she goes or the bike goes. The bike went. Still wonder if I made the right decision.

They were great bikes. And the Triumph Bonneville.
During the sixties the rice burners would kill me off the stoplight line. Compared to the way Japanese bikes were designed at the time the bikes you mentioned and the Sportster were the cool looking bikes. I had a buddy who had a four cylinder Kawasaki that was so fast that it scared me to ride out flat out.

Right now threatening to buy an Indian Scout.

Very cool pictures. I've forgotten details about bikes. I assume you're riding an HD Chopper w/ an open drive case. Dangerous. Would like to know the context of the photo. Makes me think of Easy Rider.

Ahhhhh. The 'Indian'. Back in my day (in New Zealand) Burt Munro modified one of those to get the World Speed Record on the salt flats in Utah.
It was memorialized in a movie called "The World's Fastest Indian" and starred Anthony Hopkins (of Hannibal Lechter fame). A great story.

Yes. I saw the movie and read the story.. Great story and movie, IMO.

Was going to buy a Sportster for riding around town.
I believe the Sportster is a stale bike while the Indian has lots of significant updatates.
