I'm still not convinced that it isn't glue or some sort of adhesive. What method did you use to try to remove it? Acetone? Toothpick? Other?

Toothpick it was pulling up the metal...... The piece itself is metal

Well, I wouldn't want you to damage it by prying too hard on the metal. It's interesting! I've never seen a lamination error like that before. Thanks for posting it.

I just bought a nice loupe off Amazon and man u can see it so clearly..... I'm gonna take it to a specialist for further review but it's the coin.... There is even 2 little bubbles by his eye and a couple bubbles on the right side of the crack where it starts....... Very cool

personally speaking it looks like a hair that was trapped under something like "glue" or soda that sat on the coin. If you have ruled out BY using acetone and you still have flaking of the coin it is possible it is retained lamination?

Doesn't acetone ruin coins?....and I've studied this coin over and over not glue not a hair..... The edges are metal....... You can see when you look at it..... The bubbling the raised face the metal edges.... Trust me I've looked over and over to see if it is foreign and it is the metal of the coin..... It is crazy I've never seen lamination look like this..... Maybe 2 planchet came together that is my thought since it has a face underneath a face?

no acetone does not ruin coins. It is one of the safest means of determining situations like what you have.
