Improperly mixed alloy is what comes to mind.

The value depends on its condition

This appears to be the normal sort of toning or tarnish that appears on the “golden dollars” when they are stored in certain environments. The “golden dollar” alloy is fairly unstable as coin alloys go and tones or spots rather easily. Although the faint woodgrain on this piece is interesting to some, there is no premium attached to it.

The “woodgrain” that appears on some Indian and Lincoln Cents is interesting for some collectors, but I’m not aware that such coins sell for a premium. It’s more of an observation. I, as a collector, don’t care for it and avoid those coins. But that’s my preference as a collector.

If the address indicates that the link is to eBay, you are okay. Clicking on an unknwon spot is dangerous. One time my computer got so infected, my IT guy had to "take it into the shop" for a few days to get the malware out of it.

My company is so paranoid about malware and phishing scams, for good reason, they beat internet safety into our heads.
