Hello everybody, Here are two D.B quarters, fairly low grades, dated 1806 and 1807. I would really appreciate it if anybody familiar with this series and the Browning book on early quarters could attribute these. (The 1806 unfortunately has severe damage on the obverse). With thanks in advance for your help! Eduard
Very nice and if I was to put a grade on them I'd say they are in the VF-20 grade. The 1807 is a scarce variety (B)rowning-2. I also have one like it. Notice the crack on the reverse. http://www.coinfacts.com/quarter_do...07_quarter_dollars/1807_quarter_dollar_b2.htm
Thank you for your answers! Now i know what i have: 1807 B-2, and 1806 B-6. I looked up the coins in Coinfacts and Heritage, and the 1806 is described as Rarity-5 - Rare die marriage. So a rare coin, pity about the heavy scratch on the obverse though.... Eduard
