Sorry, didn't see the thread you started when I did a search for the topic, just this one (or as the most recent). Anyways, the other one I just saw had a link that mentioned a mintage of 250k, not 100k or 110k, as now seems to be the case. But yeah, the Mint tends to take us for what they can get from us.

The mint will never suck me into something like this again. I'll wait a few years. I would love to own a set but not at the price they are asking.

Like a sucker, I'll put them with the 3 2011 Anniversary sets that I have, and can't find a taker for the one I have listed in the 'for sale' section :banghead: lol

Ken, you can miss this particular opportunity if you like, but I think that the Eagle in this set is going to be a unique frost treatment and that, along with the low montage is going to make it a favorite down the road.

At least some of the proceeds go to a good cause, the American Legion.

I think I saw that thread but I also asked about the coordination with the Australian Mint with the Apollo coin as well. The mintage limits and such were off by 150k as well. Can you clarify why we're getting "skrewed"? haha

Because many of these coins will sell for less than issue within a few short years.
