Hello All, I'm new to the group and to collecting. My son and I want to start with the Silver Eagle. Naturally the Roll of 20 price is much better than the single. I do not need or want 20 but could use 5 or 10(one or two for us and gifts with the others). Do people of this group ever team up and split the rolls? Thanks, GWilliam
Congratulations on your entry into the greatest hobby of all. Do you live in an area with a local coin club? It's well worth making the effort to find a good club and become an contributing member. Many clubs have formal or informal groupings to purchase rolls of coins and save on the costs. I've even heard of a large club that orders proof sets in bulk and passes the savings to each member.
There are some pretty easy steps to this: 1) Find any local coin shops (I see you're in NH, so you have to decide what local is). Ask them. Most of the smaller dealers will be members if there's a local club. 2) Check the ANA website for clubs in your area. These will only be ANA member clubs - so you could have club that isn't listed. The ANA website for coin clubs. http://www.money.org/clubstate.html 3) You could also email David Bowers -- I don't have his email address but it's in the Coin World column he writes --- qdbarchive@metrocast.net 4) Call American Numismatic Rarities in Wolfesboro and ask them. 866-811-1804 www.anrcoins.com is their website. Good luck. And keep enjoying yourself.

Another way to find clubs is to try and find out if your state has a state numismatic organization, most of them do. Try googling the name of your state and either state numismatic association, or State Numismatic Society (for example mine is the Indiana State Numismatic Association.) If you do have a state organization you will find that they probably list on their website every coin club in the state.
