    sales on CoinBug

Thanks everyone for taking a look at the site.

The sales history is not available at this time on the site, but I can give you some quick numbers. In the last 90 days, 287 items sold for $7861 - that will give you an average of $27 per sale. Many more low price items sell though and a few high price items to get that average. There was a huge burst of sales as the price of silver and gold were rising, and things have settled down a bit since then. As people tend to negotiate on their own, (and CoinBug makes no effort to interfere) coins are sold offline as well and don't show up in that number.

Surely items take longer to sell when they go at a fixed price than at an auction, and the audience isn't ebays, but the pricing is pretty good for what you get.

There is a new feature now where sellers can have a 'Make an Offer' button show up on their listings. We're hoping that encourage lurkers to take a bite. We'll see.

And Clembo, I'm sure you'll be happy to know, currency is coming soon.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

It's not there yet. I've been waiting for a while but no problem. He works for a living besides the site.

Thanks very much for the reply. I made an account and put a couple of coins up today to try it out. I like the idea, definitely. Will look forward to using it more.

I am glad this thread was dug up. I have been looking for a good alternative to ebay after the recent rate hikes. I will have to give coin bug a look.

Those numbers should be a bit higher from what I see. Im finding alot of people contact me with the list of coins they are interested in, let me know that they are sending the money, but they never actually purchase the coin on the site. I end up with their check, so I end the items myself. So Ive sold alot of coins with coinbugs help, that are not reflected in Jerrys numbers. So Jerry, Ive sold atleast $400 worth of coins in the last 90 days that you would have no way of knowing about. Anyhow, the site is great, I have nothing but happy stories from my dealing on coinbug.
