1999P Roosevelt Dime... This coin looks wild!

I see only one ddr variety listed on Wexler for this year and it’s nothing like this...

    Yeah, this is not a doubled die, this is die breakdown...they did make 2.164 billion in Phila. alone that year. (That's a mind boggling 2,164 followed by 6 zeros!) :eek: No telling how many dies they went through (well, somebody probably knows - especially on this site), but they probably maxed them all out.

    It is cool looking, but still worth only a dime. :happy:

    You can tell that it is die deterioration by the parallel striations pointing toward the rim.
