  1. First time poster long time reader here. Went through a box of pennies from a bank I've never been before. Most enders were marked with sharpy but still found a 1930 wheat and at least 20 2009s. Most 2009s I've ever seen in a box. Sadly I wasn't thinking and threw most of them into my collection and mixed them in.

Here's the obverse of today's buffalo ender. Was surprised to get a readable date.

Berto.....what is that Balboa coin? I ran across one in my dad's collection and just tossed it aside. Am I missing something?

    It's Panamanian currency.

Actually found this back in November. It kicked out into the coin return at a coin counter, and the guy didn't want it back.
After some research, I found out its a 1902 Austro-Hungarian 1 Heller coin.
Currently holds my personal record for oldest coin found in circulation.

bantha421 is correct. I have found a few, but none have been old enough to contain silver. I like the coin design, so I keep all of them as novelties.

I very rarely hunt nickels but picked up a few rolls today at lunch.

You can’t see in the photo but the Buffalo is a 34 philly.

Late today my $1,000 in halves should arrive at one of my order banks...I am hoping for Loomis cube boxes because, locally, they have been the best producers for collectibles...Fingers crossed.

    Happy Hunting everyone!

Managed to get on a base and hit up a military CU today. $60 BWR halves - skunk.

Interestingly enough, it seemed like they regularly deal in halves at that branch. Wish I lived closer. But my access will disappear with my mother anyways!

A Wisconsin quarter( I hadn’t run across one before) and a quarter with some sort of ding on the side? Is that a mint error?

Nice find on the silver quarter! The Wisconsin quarter is from the state issue run. The other is damage. Only the silver is worth keeping.

The two boxes were Loomis flat boxes without holes. Over the last 5 years I have averaged 1 silver coin per box from these when I get them locally. The two boxes held:
    1, '65
    1, '76 silver proof

    I also found a '76 Cu-Ni clad proof, and 3 NIFC.

Absolutely average, but better than nothing!

I ordered 2 more boxes for next week.

Not much time today. New position is keeping me busy. I stopped at lunch and grabbed 9 MWR of dimes and 5 MWR of nickels to just satisfy the urge.

    Found the following :

    Both philly.

Jeez. I haven't stopped in here for days.
Got a Fed box last week and a CWR box this week.
The CWR box has flat paper wrappers and Roll-X tubes.
The flat wrappers have some shield pennies.
The Roll-X tubes have no shield but plenty of 2005 and older memorial in fantastic shape.

No wow coins so no pics.

My daughter (7 y.o.) and I decided to look through a $500 box of MWR quarters. We used to do halves and it was fun to show her all of the different designs of reverse quarters since 1999. The icing on the cake (which was the main reason I wanted to look) was finding a W lowell quarter in the 2nd to the last roll. She found it and was so excited!
