In the 21JUN04 edition of Coin World, Eric von Klinger contributed an article regarding the 1999-P Proof SBA Dollar DDO. Even though it had minor doubling, CONECA recognized it as DDOO-001-II-C+IV. I went through several and came up with nine. They were graded and slabbed as follows: (1) PR66 DCAM DDO-001 (1) PR67 DCAM DDO-001 (3) PR68 DCAM DDO-001 (4) PR66 DCAM DDO-001 Back last spring, someone used this website and noted that she/he had a SBA DDO and requested a response from anyone who had one. If my memory serves me correctly, nobody reponded. Does anyone on this forum possess one or more of these SBA DDOs? Doesanyone know what these coins are worth?
I have been in contact with the owner of the discovery coin that was submitted for inspection to CONECA. He only has one specimen and knows of another in Chicago. Including my nine, there are 11 of these Susies hanging around. He further noted that a CONECA representative estimates the value of the PR68 and PR69 DCAMs to be $500.
Errorscopelisted the following values: PR65 - $100 PR66 - $200 PR67 - $300 PR68 - $400 If I keep the linear price increase with grade, the PR69 would be $500. The discovery coin was reported as PR68 in grade.
