1984P Jefferson nickel

    Hi, this is just die deterioration and circulation; not an error. It’s worth 5 cents.

    Die deterioration - letters spread towards the rim - and a lot of circulation wear/damage

    Over 746.7 million Phila. nickels produced in 1984 - they wore those dies out!

    However, let's say, for the sake of this discussion, that the P was "doubled", Monticello was "doubled", & it "had" 5 full steps! This nickel would still be worth only 5 cents because of the severe circulation & hit damage, not to mention the die deterioration.
